Industry Moves: QuadrantONE Names Andy Ellenthal Permanent CEO

QuadrantONE, the online ad network launched in February by Tribune, Gannett, Hearst, and NYTCo (NYSE: NYT) has named Andy Ellenthal as its permanent CEO. Since its inception the company has been headed by interim CEO Dana Hayes, SVP of sales at Tribune Interactive. That Hayes’ appointment was temporary was clear from the beginning. Prior to this, Ellenthal was SVP at Visible World, and prior to that he was a senior executive at PointRoll, which was acquired by Gannett (NYSE: GCI). The network is specifically geared towards selling local newspaper online inventory, so it doesn’t actually include the flagship publications of some of its owners (NYTimes.com, USAToday.com). In March it announced that all of the members of the Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) Newspaper Consortium had joined, although not necessarily all of their papers. More here in the release.
