Industry Moves Round Up: Mochila; Los Angeles Times; Avenue100; appssavvy; Knewco

Mochila: Twenty-year ad veteran Mary Jo Romeo is joining the content-syndication network as its new VP of Advertising Sales. The former VP of BabyCenter.com will report to Carolyn Bekkedahl, Mochila’s President and Chief Revenue Officer.

Los Angeles Times: The Los Angeles Times has named Sean Gallagher Managing Editor, Online. Gallagher, who oversaw the site’s redesign, had previously been the LATimes.com Managing Editor. His role will now expand to include the LAT Media Group’s portfolio of digital properties.

Avenue100: The Washington Post-owned digital marketing company has brought in three new hires. Paul Newton is the company’s director, business intelligence and data warehousing; Atul Joshi joins the company as a statistical analyst; and Mo-Han Hsieh is the Avenue100 traffic team’s first search-engine marketing engineer.

appssavvy: The mobile social-media company has hired a new director of East Coast sales, Rob Holiber, and three new directors of West Coast sales—Lauren Jaramillo, Jeff Skaggs and Michael Vos.

Knewco: Dave Rothenberg is the web-ad company’s new CEO. Before joining Knewco, Rothenberg started the healthcare media company MDLinx Inc., and stayed on until it was bought by Sony.
