Industry Moves Round Up: MySpace Music, PointRoll, Comcast SportsNet Chicago and Turbine

image—MySpace (NSDQ: NWS) Music: NewsCorp’s online behemoth picks up their new SVP of strategy from another online behemoth. Sam Wick (pictured, right), who comes directly from his post as VP of strategy and corporate development at AOL’s Platform-A (NYSE: AOL), will be in charge of making sure MySpace Music brings in as much money as possible, while spending that money wisely. His previous job experience at AOL’s Userplane, MP3.com and Sony (NYSE: SNE) Music should help him out.

—PointRoll:The Gannett (NYSE: GCI) online advertising subsidiary said Ray McIntosh has been named the sales director for the west coast. McIntosh was most recently the director of the western region at Source Interlink. He was a regional advertising manager at PointRoll from 2004 to 2006.

—Comcast SportsNet Chicago: The TV home of most of the Windy City’s major league teams has hired T.K. Gore as its director of digital media to bulk up its online offerings and lead its digital media strategy and expansion. Gore was recently the director of marketing and communications at Universal Sports, based in Chicago. Recently, ESPN (NYSE: DIS) launched ESPN Chicago, which shows a viable audience for the topic.

—Turbine, Inc.: M. Beau Paradowski is going from a company that keeps you in touch with people to one that may keep you out of touch with people. Paradowski is the new CFO of Turbine, Inc., which makes some of the most popular online gaming titles around right now. He comes directly from the wireless consulting firm Optasite, Inc., where he was also the CFO.
