Comcast (NSDQ: CMCSA) Interactive Media, the unit that runs the cable company’s websites, has named Scott Bailey SVP and GM of Comcast.net, the portal for Comcast’s 12.4 million subs. Bailey held the same title at Turner Sports Interactive, where he oversaw a number of sites, including NASCAR.com, PGATOUR.com and PGA.com. Release

News Corp.: Gary Ginsberg has added head of global marketing to his current responsibilities as EVP-investor relations and corporate communication. The new EVP-global marketing and corporate affairs also has been appointed to the company’s top leadership team, the Office of the Chairman. For the record, the other members are chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch, president and COO Peter Chernin, CFO David DeVoe, General Counsel Lon Jacobs, Deputy CFO John Nallen, and Roger Ailes, chairman of FNC/FBC, Fox Television Stations and Twentieth Television. Ginsberg reports to Murdoch, Chernin and DeVoe. Release.

Glam Media: The female-focused ad network has hired Joe Lagani as VP/GM for GlamLiving, its new home, travel, food and entertaining channel. Lagani was previously VP. Publisher for Conde Nast’s House & Garden. Release

Discovery: Douglas Craig has been promoted to SVP-digital media operations for Discovery Communications, reporting to Josh Freeman, EVP, Digital Media. He is responsible for managing the content strategy for Discovery On Demand (Discovery’s VOD offering) and Discovery Mobile as well as developing content distribution partnerships within the digital space. Prior to this, Craig served as VP-programming for New Media Operations.

TheWeekDaily.com: The online version of the news aggregator mag finds Harold Maass shifting over from the print side to serve as editor. Maass, a former national editor for FoxNews, was one of the founding editors of The Week’s U.S. print version. The recently launched site has also made a series of additional hires, including former Village Voice senior editor Ken Switzer as associate editor.
