—SN Digital: *Scripps’* interactive division announced Heather Keets Wright has joined the team as VP of cross-network programming. Having held various positions with magazine brands Entertainment Weekly, Essence and Seveteen, Wright was most recently handling editorial operations at MarthaStewart.com.
—YuMe Networks: Freedom Interactive CEO Michael Mathieu is moving on to become CEO of YuMe Networks, co-founder and current CEO Jayant Kadambi said in the company’s blog. The Local Onliner reports that Mathieu says the opportunity “just came up” and allows him to return to his Northern California roots.
—MOG: Def Jam Recordings co-founder Rick Rubin is joining the music blogging platform’s board of directors. Last year he joined Columbia Records in an exec and creative partnership with Rob Stringer and Steve Barnett. Once named by Time Magazine as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World,” Rubin has produced albums for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Dixie Chicks, Johnny Cash, the Beastie Boys and others.
—IDG Communications: Mike Romoff has joined the company as VP of syndication, responsible for developing online syndication partnerships. He has previously held exec positions in sales and ad ops at NBCU and was a key member of the team that organized Hulu.com. Release.
—MLB Network: The network has hired Art Marquez to head up affiliate sales and marketing as SVP. Reporting to president and CEO Tony Petitti, Marquez will oversee the network and cable operators’ relationship. He joins from the NFL Network, where he served as VP of affiliate sales. Release.
—Total Beauty Media: Judy Hsieh, previously of Yahoo’s (NSDQ: YHOO) media division, has joined Total Beauty Media as VP, online business development. Prior to Yahoo, Judy was VP business development for BusinessWeek Digital and started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
