Wedding and lifestyle site and company The Knot has named Janet Scardino as president and CMO…Scardino was previously the EVP and MD of Reuters’s (NSDQ: RTRSY) media division.  Prior to Reuters, she was Senior VP, International Marketing for AOL (NYSE: TWX).

Scardino will be responsible for developing and overseeing The Knot’s businesses, including content, marketing and e-commerce, among other things.TheKnot has been on the block for a while, or at least tried to sell itself, but didn’t come to any agreements. More details in release.
