Industry Moves: Time Inc. Appoints Chiefs Of New Style And Entertainment Unit

Time Inc. has shuffled some executives from its Entertainment and People groups to head the newly formed Style and Entertainment unit. Paul Caine, the former People Group head who has been serving as Time Inc. president of entertainment for the past year, will serve as the new unit’s president and group publisher, reporting directly to CEO Ann Moore. Among the other execs being moved around is Fran Hauser, People Digital’s president. She’ll take on the role of group digital president, reporting to Caine. Hauser has been on Time Inc.‘s digital side since 2003, when she moved over from AOL/Moviefone, where she was VP/GM.

The formation of the Style and Entertainment Group was announced earlier this week as part of a company-wide reorg—which includes the shedding of 600 staffers—that puts Time Inc.‘s 24 mags into three distinct groups. The other two are News and Lifestyle.
