Industry Moves: Yahoo CMO Cammie Dunaway Leaving

Kara has the scoop, here...Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) is losing another senior marketing executive: CMO& Head of Customer Experience Division Cammie Dunaway will be leaving by the end of this month. Dunaway joined Yahoo in 2003 and has kept a low profile than others in similar positions in the company. Earlier in the summer, chief sales officer Wenda Harris Millard left to join Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (NYSE: MSO) as president of Media. Yahoo’s VP of Global Brand Marketing Allen Olivo will take her place temporarily as Yahoo figures out a replacement.
Updated: In an exit memo on Valleywag, she gives a hint of where she’s going: “It was my reflection on the strength of our team that made it possible for me to accept the new opportunity. While I can’t share the specifics until mid next week, suffice it to say that it is a natural fit for someone who loves driving profitable revenue for big, well loved consumer brands and can’t pass up the opportunity to be the coolest Mom in the universe.” Viacom? Disney?

Another possibility is Nintendo, who just lost 3 marketing execs in moving their US offices from Seattle to the bay area.

Viacom = coolest mom? C’mon! What kids even recognize the brand!?
