Industry Moves: Yahoo’s Dossett To Join Adventure Travel Company
Next thing we know Susan Decker will be landing a job at a toothpaste company. A day after reports circulated that Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) audience head Jeff Dossett was leaving, Dossett has officially landed a new gig. He’s taking over as CEO of online adventure travel booking company AdventureLink, according to a press release. His departure also follows Thursday’s announcement that Yahoo CFO Blake Jorgensen would become CFO at jeans-maker Levi Strauss & Co.

AdventureLink raised a first round of funding in February from Anthem Venture Partners and The Mail Room Fund, and in March it purchased competitor Adventure Central. Hobby-wise, at least, it’s a good match for Dossett, who is an experienced mountain climber (He’s climbed Mount Everest twice and described Yahoo once as “my next Mount Everest”). Prior to joining Yahoo, he was the executive producer and general manager for the MSN Media Network.
