Online marketer Manifest Digital will receive “up to $9 million” in investment money from BIA Digital Partners, the company said in an e-mail. The eight-year-old Chicago company was founded by Jim Jacoby, who currently has the title of “Chief Experience Officer” at Manifest. Despite its relative longevity, the Manifest’s site is still under wraps, while its blog has only five posts going back to last February. Still,  the investment comes at a good time for the agency, as the online ad slowdown will make this a tough year even for established interactive shops.
