Czech Blog Host Jyxo Sells To Broadcaster CME, Adding Community To TV: East-European TV net Central European Media Enterprises (CME) is buying Jyxo, operator of Czech blog portal Blog.cz, from founder Michal Illich and investor Centralway for between 163 million and 200 million koruny (about $13 million).

Chinese Ringtone Seller A8.com Files For IPO: A8.com, which mainly sells ringtones and other digital music to mobile phone subscribers in China, has filed for an initial public offering on the Hong Kong exchange to raise about $28 million.

Ukraine’s UMH Raises $45 Million Via IPO For Online Media Goal: Ukrainian multi-media group United Media Holding (UMH) has floated 15 percent of the company in Frankfurt for $45 million, valuing it at $300 million, and plans to use the proceeds to invest in new media companies in Russia and the Ukraine.

SK Telecom Pouring $1 Billion Into Chinese Digital Content And Design Center: SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM) will invest $1 billion to jointly build a digital content and design center in China after signing a deal with the Chinese government…the center would act as a “bridgehead” for Korean companies hoping to enter the Chinese market.

India’s UTV Completes Acquisition Of 76 Percent Stake In IT Nation For Rs. 15 Crores: In India, UTV has acquired 76 percent stake in tech news site IT Nation. Also, they intend to invest Rs. 120 crores on the digital space over the next two years.
