From paidContent:UK: IPC Media, the consumer magazine company in UK, has acquired consumer electronics reviews site Trusted Reviews for an undisclosed amount to accompany its technology and men’s magazine brands. It’s essentially buying in a team of eight online editorial staff and the forum in which readers offer their own comments in response to reviews. The site, which launched in 2003, claims 1.2 million unique users per month and also has a price comparison feature bought in from PriceGrabber.

CNET.co.uk has long been in the tech reviews space, Future’s Tech.co.uk is getting stronger and Which also runs electronics reviews. Meanwhile, in the travel sector for example, TripAdvisor is making big gains from sidelining editorial views and primarily aggregating those of consumers. IPC said the site will fit with its “established technology brands and upscale men’s interest portfolio”, which really includes What Digital Camera, Hi-Fi News, Amateur Photographer and a number of boating titles.
