IT Research Firm TheInfoPro Gets $7.25 Million Funding

Someone still cares about IT pipeline research: TheInfoPro, an IT market intelligence firm based in NYC, has received $7.25 million in funding from Edison Venture Fund. The financing will be used to expand sales, marketing and development. The company, founded in 2002 by former execs from Gartner, EMC and others, says it has a network of over 1600 of the biggest buyers of IT, including Citigroup, FedEx, McGraw-Hill (NYSE: MHP), MasterCard, Pfizer, Vodafone (NYSE: VOD), PepsiCo, JPMorgan Chase, and Harvard University, and it uses these professionals to get market intelligence. It also provides customers with info about technologies, vendor relationships and investments. More details in release.
