Recruiting industry news blog Cheezhead has been sold to online job search company Jobing for an undisclosed sum. As part of the acquisition, Cheezhead, which currently reports on various players in the recruiting industry—including Jobing—is changing its coverage to provide content relevant to Jobing’s focus on local recruiting. “With the blog now becoming part of a competitor in the industry, we think it’s important to change the editorial direction of the website to no longer comment on specific industry players,” says founder Joel Cheesman. Cheesman is joining Jobing as an SVP, focused on online marketing. Cheezhead’s traffic has stayed relatively flat for much of the last year. It had about 50,000 unique visitors last month, compared to 44,000 a year ago, according to Compete.com figures. Release.
