Latin American Social Net Sonico Raises $4.3 Million First Round

Sonico, a Latin America-focused social net has raised $4.3 million in a first round led by DN Capital and private investors including Fabrice Grinda (Zingy.com and OLX.com), Martín Varsavsky (FON) and Alec Oxenford (OLX.com). The site was launched just last summer and claims to be the fastest-growing social net in the region, with 17 million registered users. The company was founded by Argentinian Rodrigo Teijeiro.
