While the world still waits for (legal) Beatles downloads, Led Zeppelin is finally set to release its back catalog online. Starting this week, certain Zeppelin tunes will be available through Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) (release), as ringtones, before all eight albums are made available through various digital music stores, including iTunes, on November 13th. As the New York Times reports, the band recently resolved some longstanding issues over the rights to its back catalog, as Plant & Co. will receive $60 million to extend its ties with Warner/Chappell Music. And it’s not a coincidence that it times perfectly with a much-anticipated reunion show in London next month, allowing them to fully capitalize on all the buzz.

As for the Beatles, George Harrison’s solo music came available last week, while the whole band’s catalog is expected shortly.
