Local Content Aggregator Outside.in Raises $1.5 Million Second Round

Brooklyn, NY-based Outside.in has raised a $1.5 million second round. Investors include many of those who participated in its initial $900K round earlier this year, including Union Square Ventures, Milestone Ventures, Village Ventures, George Crowley, John Seely Brown, Esther Dyson and John Borthwick, bring its total amount raised to $2.4 million. The company, which aggregates blogs and news content for over 60 cities, is headed by Steven Johnson, founder of the defunct online magazine Feed. [via SAI]
