Grayboxx, a local search start-up, has been sold to Bayadvisor, which also operates in the same area, according to VentureBeat. The Saratoga, CA-based company offers a pretty straightforward service, by letting users search for a given type of business in a specified location. Bayadvisor, based in the Bay area, is more a B2B-focused site, offering data search relevant to local businesses. According to the report, it plans to use the Grayboxx platform to build out its service. Grayboxx has received unspecified funding from Sierra Partners. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
