Center’d, the local search and events planner formerly known as Fatdoor, has raised $1.875 million in funding, San Jose Business Journal reported, citing a regulatory filing. The latest investors weren’t identified this time out. Before this funding, the Menlo Park-based company had raised $6.5 million from backers such as Norwest Venture Partners and Keynote Ventures. Center’d has been around for a little over two years. It was started by former Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) engineer Chandu Thota, and CEO Jennifer Dulski (pictured), who previously managed Yahoo’s local and marketplace services. The company provides local search and guide functions, with a particular focus on helping connect users and their friends to events in a given area.
