Meredith Acquires Stake In Mobile Marketing Firm The Hyperfactory

Women’s mag publisher Meredith Corp. (NYSE: MDP) has taken a 19.9 percent stake in mobile marketing firm The Hyperfactory. Terms of the deal, which was managed by Madison Alley Global Ventures, weren’t disclosed. The Hyperfactory will work with Meredith’s Integrated Marketing unit, a b2b division that creates custom online and print products. Meredith also plans to use The Hyperfactory, which is headquartered in New Zealand and has offices in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Hong Kong, Sydney and Hyderabad, India, to help it expand the mobile abilities of its own brands, such as Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle, and Ladies’ Home Journal.
