Meredith To Share Ad Sales Duties For Mag Rack VOD Network
Women’s mag publisher Meredith Corp. (NYSE: MDP) will provide its content to Interactivation’s Mag Rack, a free VOD TV network. The two will share ad and sponsorship revenues from the partnership. In addition to its own videos, Meredith will also sell ad sales and sponsorships for current Mag Rack network programming alongside Mag Rack’s sales team. The companies didn’t disclose the exact terms of the revenue split. Interactivation, which also runs a separate VOD TV network called Concert TV, says it reaches 25 million homes. Its Mag Rack network includes channels on Health and Wellness, House and Home, Food, Fitness, Kids and Family, and Relationships, all of which dovetail with Meredith’s content from mag titles such as Better Homes and Gardens, Parents and Family Circle. While those mags might contribute to Mag Rack features, the deal also includes participation from its 12 local TV networks. Release
