Microsoft Acquiring Israeli Ad Firm YaData; Reported Price: $20-$30 Million

Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) continues its shopping spree, as it has announced the acquisition of Israeli ad tech firm YaData. Terms of the deal were undisclosed although Globes Online (via VentureBeat) says the price is between $20-$30 million. YaData says its technology allows advertisers to discover unique customer segments, and that Microsoft will use the technology across its ad services. Founded in 2006, YaData has received VC funding from Giza and Ofer Hi-Tech. The company will be brought into Microsoft’s Israeli R&D center. Release (pdf).
