Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT), which just bought Danger for a reported $500 million, is overhauling its mobile group in more ways than one: besides replacing mobile head, it is promoting than 10 executives and others are leaving. It will name Andrew Lee, currently a corporate VP at the company’s server and tools group, as the head of its mobile-communications business as an SVP, reports WSJ. This means that the existing head Pieter Knook will be leaving: he will retire from the company.

Also, other expected changes will be announced tomorrow: according to News.com, leaving the company are: SVP Steven Berkowitz, the former Ask.com CEO who had been heading Microsoft’s online services unit, and Mike Sievert, the former AT&T (NYSE: T) Wireless executive brought in to run Windows marketing.
