As widely expected, Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) has officially announced the changes in its online executive team. The seven executives promoted to SVP are Chris Capossela, Kurt DelBene, Antoine Leblond, Andy Lees, Satya Nadella, S. Somasegar and Bill Veghte. The seven executives promoted to corporate VP are Walid Abu-Habda, Brad Brooks, Larry Cohen, Steve Guggenheimer, Scott Guthrie, Roz Ho and Brian Tobey.

On the online side, Brian McAndrews, the former CEO of the aQuantive that Microsoft bought last year, will assume greater responsibilities at the company’s online services unit, taking over much of the duties of Steve Berkowitz, who leave Microsoft in August. The speculation is that McAndrews will be heading Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) portion if Microsoft’s proposed deal goes through. As Reuters writes here,  he is expected to play a central role in integrating Yahoo’s ad platform into Microsoft to rival Google (NSDQ: GOOG). He ran aQuantive for seven years, developing relationships with advertising agencies, advertisers and Internet companies.

Nadella will take a lead engineering role in the online division, while Veghte will replace Michael Sievert, who plans to leave the company, as the head for Windows and Microsoft’s online properties. All the changes are detailed in the company release here.
