MMO Developer Turbine Raises $40 Million Funding
We mentioned a part of this raise in April…now it is complete: Turbine, a developer of MMO games has received $40 million third round funding. Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) and GGV Capital led the investment along with existing investors, Highland Capital Partners, Polaris Venture Partners, Tudor Ventures and Columbia Capital. The Westwood, MA-based company has now raised over $90 million. The company’s chief title is its Lord Of The Rings-branded game. More details in release here.
