This movies-from-your-PC-to-your-TV thing might actually be happening, judging from the deals happening—nevermind that consumer demand hasn’t exactly skyrocketed. Couple of new deals through the pipeline:

—Netflix is continuing its quest to bring its online service to devices, and now is tying up with Samsung. The service will be embedded in Samsung’s BD-P2500 and BD-P2550 Blu-ray disc players, so users can stream the movies and TV shows onto the TV. This will give Netflix (NSDQ: NFLX) subscribers with this player access to a library of more than 12,000 movies and TV episodes. The companies also said they are collaborating to enable Samsung to integrate Netflix into a range of other home-entertainment products. It has already done a similar deal with LG (SEO: 066570), and other deals with Roku, Xbox and PS3. For more on Netflix’s recent deals, read our company section.

—Meanwhile, TiVo is also announcing a couple of deals with CinemaNow and Jaman, to allow its users to download and stream their library onto the TV sets connected to the TiVo (NSDQ: TIVO) box. Through CinemaNow, TiVo users can download movies from The Walt Disney Studios and some other indie studios. With this, subscribers can activate a download from another device, such as a mobile phone or PC, and have it sent directly to the TiVo DVR, ready for viewing when they arrive home. Through Jaman, they can get access to more eclectic international and art-house movie fare.
