imageFox Sports keeps its spot as the exclusive sports provider on MSN in a multi-year renewal and expansion of the original 2005 deal when FoxSports.com took ESPN’s place as the Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) portal’s sports anchor. FoxSports.com claims more than 15 million uniques. Powered by Fox Sports Interactive, a division of Fox Interactive Media (NYSE: NWS), the site will continue to known as FoxSports.com on MSN with a url of msn.foxsports.com; MSN gets branding on the site and TV broadcasts. The expansion includes:

—the inclusion of FSI’s Scout Media and WhatifSports.com brands

—more sales collaboration and FSI will “leverage” Microsoft’s ad platform. (Not a clue yet what that means but will let you know as soon as we do. Update: Fox says no specifics yet.)

—“a more integrated approach to investments in product development for both online and mobile platforms.”

—FSI will use “emerging technologies” from Windows Live and Live Search.
