We reported first on MTVs 250 layoffs over the weekend…and mentioned that SVPs and EVPs would be part of it. And then Judy McGrath’s memo on it.
Now THR reports some names of executives who are leaving. Among them: Paul DeBenedittis, EVP of multiplatform programming, content strategy and scheduling at MTV; Salli Frattini, SVP in charge of production at MTV; Kathy Flynn, SVP production events at MTV and VH1; and Laura Nelson, SVP communications at VH1.
Also, the company is closing MTV World slate of channels..these consists of MTV Desi (aimed at Indians); MTV Chi, targeting Chinese Americans; and MTV K, for Korean Americans. It hopes to continue the brands on other platforms.
