MTVN Promotes Kevin Arrix Head Of Digital Ad Sales; Witt Joins Stirratt At MySpace
MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA) is promoting Kevin Arrix (pictured, left) to the role of EVP, Digital Advertising Sales, replacing Nada Stirratt, who jumped to MySpace as chief revenue officer over a month ago. The company will announce Arrix’s promotion later this afternoon. The move comes as Jason Witt has left his post as GM of MTVN’s Digital Fusion. Sources tell paidContent that he will join Stirratt at MySpace, though he will not be reporting to her. Witt has not returned calls for comment. MTVN reps confirmed that Witt left the company recently. No replacement for Witt has been named yet.
As EVP of digital ad sales, Arrix will also oversee Digital Fusion, which develops products for online ad campaigns across MTVN. In addition, Arrix oversees MTVN’s Tribes, its demo-focused vertical ad networks built around topic areas like parenting and its cable channels CMT, Spike and VH1.
Arrix is being upped from SVP, Digital Advertising Sales, a role he’s had for three years. Arrix worked for four years as Nickelodeon’s Vice President of digital ad sales and spent three years at CBS (NYSE: CBS) SportsLine, where he managed a variety of responsibilities. Arrix also had seven-year tenure at Turner Broadcasting, working largely in international ad sales.
Witt had been at MTVN since 2005 and had been GM of Digital Fusion for the last two-and-half years. Additional sources have confirmed he’s just starting his post at MySpace this week, but his title has not been disclosed.

Update: Witt’s been made an SVP at MySpace, sources tell paidContent. His primary role will entail overseeing research and intelligence, integrated marketing and creative services. He’ll also help develop products for advertisers, similar to what he did at MTVN.
