MySpace has tapped casual gamer Oberon Media to help the social net develop its own games channel by next year, Reuters reported. As currently conceived, MySpace Games will offer its members free casual games, which they’ll be able to add on to their websites, and allows users to invite friends to participate in multiplayer games and chat while they are playing. Oberon recently did some restructuring, which we reported on first here.

MySpace Debuts First Original Series: While MySpace readies the “network quality” series quarterlife (our earlier report here), the Fox Interactive Media (NYSE: NWS) unit has launched its first original scripted web series, Roommates this week.
