National Lampoon didn’t just buy a humor site, it got a drinking buddy: the comic media network has bought comedic community site Drunk University for an undisclosed amount.  The five-year-old DU, which had previously been a part of the National Lampoon network, claims more than 5 million monthly pageviews. Users can interact with photo galleries, post videos, chat in the DU forum, read stories, and search for advice and drink recipes. The site will be drawn into National Lampoon’s distribution arm, which provides content through its College TV network and across new media through multiple in-house digital platforms including the broadband channel Toga TV.com, the National Lampoon video channel on AOL.
