Online appointment startup BookFresh has raised $500,000 in funding from new investors including Ron Conway. BookFresh, which was known until June as HourTown, raised $1 million from NBC Universal (NYSE: GE), Baseline Ventures and Hatch Ventures in a round last August. The company said that the new funding would be used to support its growth. Its service lets small businesses accept and manage appointments online. BookFresh offers a baseline service for free, as well as premium options for a monthly fee. It was started in 2007 by Ryan Donahue, a former product designer at PayPal. Release.
