Prep Sports Online, an online high-school sports network based out of Sterling, IL, has received an undisclosed amount of strategic investment from Wasserman Media Group.

PSO will be incorporated into Sportnet, WMG’s online sports network, which will also do the ad sales for the sites. PSO was founded in 2001 by Nyle Anderson as a way to help high schools fund their athletic programs through the creation of professional quality, corporate-sponsored websites. More details in the release. WMH also invested last year in Takkle, an NYC-based online social network for high school sports.
