Peanut Labs Raises $3.2 Million First Round For Online Market Research
SF-based Peanut Labs, a provider of digital market research into the “Gen-Y” demographic, has raised a $3.2 million first round from Leapfrog Ventures and BV Capital. The company has developed a system, dubbed Sample3.0, that plugs into more than 70 social networking services, including MySpace and Facebook. It claims to have achieved profitability in 2007, and is predicting “eight figure” revenue in 2008. Funding will go towards the further development of its product. The company is an outgrowth of the games-based social net Xuqa, which was founded by CEO Murtaza Hussain. Release.
