Playboy Enterprises Launches College Social Network; Says “Non-Nude”
Trying to lure college students away from Facebook is an admirable goal, and tough…but then, the Playboy name might help, or at least that’s what the company’s hoping: Playboy Enterprises (NYSE: PLA) is launching a college students-only social network called PlayboyU. “This is one brand that is relevant to 18 through 81-year-olds,” said Scott Stephen, EVP of operations for Playboy’s entertainment division…really?

The site bars nudity, the AP story says, but is definitely banking on the risque element, judging by the promo pics and copy.
