Another funding we missed earlier this year in Q3: Decentral.tv, a stealth online and mobile video startup based out of San Rafael, CA, received $2.23 million in its first round of funding. The round was led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Draper Richards. This BW post describes the company as a social networking service for television. Founder Daniel Graf calls it interactive Broadcast Broadband Communities, or iBBC. Graf was formerly a senior director at Phillips Consumer Electronics, where he developed the Streamium products and services. The company’s consumer service is now called Kyte, and enable live video channels which can be viewed online and on mobiles.
