RiverWired Raises $1.5 Million Seed Round For Eco-Entertainment Video, Blogs

Eco-centric community site RiverWired has raised $1.5 million in seed funding to support the creation of an online video series and related blogs. The content on the videos and blogs would have a “green” touch, with programming ranging from celebrity news, lifestyle features and comedy. The backers of the seed round were not identified.

The New York-based RiverWired is the brainchild of CEO Catherine Billon, a media veteran who has worked with companies such as Time Warner, Discovery Channel, Columbia Tri-Star and National Geographic.
