Search Marketing Firm Kenshoo Gets Funding From Sequoia, Arts Alliance

Search marketing technology firm Kenshoo has raised an undisclosed round of financing led by Sequoia Capital. Previous investor Arts Alliance also participated in the round, which the company is calling its second; Sequoia and Arts Alliance gave the S.F.-based firm undisclosed amounts of funding in late 2007 and early 2008. Kenshoo was founded in Israel, and opened a U.S. office last year; the company plans to use the new funding to continue its global expansion. Clients include Zappos, Hitwise and agencies like Omnicom; there are a glut of competitors both large and small, including firms like Benchmark Capital-backed Marin Software and Union Square Ventures-backed Clickable.
