Social Recruiting Site KODA Raises $3 Million
New recruiting site KODA.us has closed a $3 million funding round from angel investors. The site lets job candidates and companies set up non-traditional profiles to describe themselves. Candidates, for instance, can answer “why I’m unique” and fill out “my story,” while businesses say “how we’re different” and list “reasons to work here.” The site has been in beta for the last two months and says so far it has “established relationships with over 350 corporations, non-profit organizations and private businesses.”
KODA is entering a crowded category that has been hard hit by the economy. But in what may be some consolation, especially for a startup trying to get attention, recent comScore figures show that Americans are spending more time than ever browsing job sites. Release.
