Sports Blog Network Yardbarker Raises $1.5 Million In Funding
Yardbarker, the sports ad and blog network that gets stars like the NFL’s Donovan McNabb and UFC’s Joe Rogan to pen blog posts, has raised just over $1.5 million in funding, per an SEC filing. The company declined to comment on the new round.

Yardbarker raised $6 million in a second round last April; investors included DFJ, Baseline Ventures, Labrador Ventures, and individual backers like Russ Siegelman and Jarl Mohn. The site blends editorial content, social media features like forums and article voting, with video and the athlete blogs. Yarkbarker’s traffic hit a peak in January, with over 1.4 million uniques, but has trended downward over the past six months or so, per Compete.
