Yardbarker, a sports commentary site based in Berkeley, CA., has completed a round of seed funding led by Russell Siegelman, a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers. The amount was not disclosed. Other participants in the round included members of the “Band of Angels”: Steve Blank, the founder of Epiphany, and Ron Conway, as well as Ronnie Lott and Harris Barton of HRJ Capital and Labrador Ventures. Separately, Yardbarker unveiled a site redesign, along with new customization features, which lets users choose what teams are displayed when they connect to it.
