StockTwits Buys Financial Blog Abnormal Returns
On the heels of its $3 million funding round, StockTwits has made a small acquisition. The startup—which lets investors track conversations about stocks on Twitter—has bought up five-year-old financial blog Abnormal Returns, which aggregates financial analysis from across the web. StockTwits says in a blog post that it will integrate Abnormal Returns into its own service, although the Abnormal Returns site will also continue to exist.
StockTwits says the purchase is “the next step in an entire revamp of the StockTwits platform coming in the next two weeks.” Already, StockTwits has made a number of moves over recent months, including adding real-time stock quotes via a partnership with the Nasdaq stock market and a desktop app.
