The NewsMarket—which sells video distribution services to enterprises that want to reach out to media outlets—has raised $4.3 million in a round of funding, which it is using in part to fund its recent purchase of Medialink. CEO Jim Lonergan tells us that the balance will be used to build out the company’s technology platform and also to expand its sales team in the U.S. and Europe. He said that the funds come from existing investors. The NewsMarket last raised money four years ago, when it brought in $10.65 million in a third round of funding. Backers include Hearst Interactive Media, Battery Ventures, Apax Partners and High Peaks Ventures.
