Another executive change at News Corp.: Gary Ginsberg, one of Rupert Murdoch’s top advisers, is leaving the company at the end of the year. Ginsberg, EVP of Global Marketing and Corporate Affairs, joined News Corp (NYSE: NWS). to head corporate communications in 1999 and moved far beyond that; he has been on the company’s executive management committee since 2000 and part of the Office of the Chairman since 2007, when he added global marketing. Teri Everett, now the SVP for corporate communications, will head corporate communications and corporate social responsibility; Reed Nolte, the SVP for invester relations, will head that. No word yet on the marketing role. Release.

Longtime COO Peter Chernin left in June; at the same time, News Corp. vet Chase Carey returned to the company as COO and deputy chairman from a stint at DirecTV (NYSE: DTV). Chernin’s departure also resulted in major changes on the entertainment side. And, this year, Murdoch added Jon Miller to head digital.
