Topspin Media Gets Second Round For Online Music Marketing

Topspin Media, a music marketing firm helmed by ex-Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) Ian Rogers, has raised a second round of funding led by Foundry Group. In April

Last September, the company raised an unspecified first round from Redpoint Ventures. Basically, the company offers a complete set of tools for bands to interact and share their music with fans. At Yahoo, Rogers was known for his progressive (though now fairly mainstream) views on DRM-free music. Read more at the Foundry Group blog. The company was also mentioned in a recent Billboard piece.
