Sales Analytics Company TouchCommerce Raises $10 Million

TouchCommerce has raised $10 million from new investor Sierra Ventures and existing investors Emergence Capital, Hudson Ventures, Dolphin Equity and Partech International. The company operates in a fairly new space: It provides analytics to commerce sites, helping to identify the visitors most likely to make purchases and then arranging for sales agents to target them via instant messaging to close the sale. The company works primarily with cable, satellite, financial and retail companies.
