TPM Morphs Election Channel Into New Capitol Hill Blog; Adds Portfolio’s Cooper

imagePolitical sites had a great run the past year, as one of the most anticipated and expensive campaigns was waged. The big questions are can they keep it up, and will the public’s interest carry over into the new administration? Timed to today’s inauguration, Josh Marshall’s TPM has unveiled a new politics blog, TPMDC.com, the successor to its election blog, TPM Election Central. Former Time magazine reporter Matt Cooper is moving over from Condé Nast’s Portfolio. In addition to the high-profile DC reporter, eight-year-old TPM plans to add at least one more reporter-blogger for the new Capitol Hill site. More details in post on TPM’s blog here.
