TripAdvisor Buys Cruise Social Net Owner Independent Traveler

Expedia’s travel community site TripAdvisor continues its expansion with the purchase of The Independent Traveler, publisher of rival tourism social net Cruise Critic and IndependentTraveler.com. The terms of the sale were not revealed. There are no initial plans to integrate Independent Traveler’s properties into the TripAdvisor site and no staffing changes are expected. Release.
