U.S. Local News Network Raises $1 Million More
U.S. Local News Network—which is plotting the roll out of local news sites across the U.S.—has raised more cash. CEO Neil Senturia tells us that the startup has received $1 million in new funding and expects to raise another $800,000 within the next month-and-a-half; the company had already secured $2 million in backing over the summer. The company isn’t disclosing who provided the cash. Senturia initially founded the San Diego News Network; in September, however, he set up parent company U.S. Local News Network to oversee the roll out of additional sites. The company has launched a second site in Riverside, Calif. and a third site, which will cover Orange County, is on track to launch in February.
