UK’s Haymarket To Buy Direct Marketing News Site DMNews

UK-based magazine publisher Haymarket Media is adding the New York-based weekly trade magazine and daily online site DMNews to its stable of business publications and websites. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
DMNews is independently owned by Courtenay Communications Corporation and was started in 1979 by current CEO Adrian Courtenay…its print edition has a circulation over 50,000. The magazine’s site, DMNews.com, claims an average of 500,000 visitors and generates 3 million pageviews monthly.
The sale of DMNews to Haymarket, which publishes PRWeek, Direct Response, Brand Republic, among others, includes the rights to another Courtenay magazine, iMarketing News, which was published from 1999 to 2002. Haymarket expects DMN to work along with its U.S. brands PRWeek and Medical Marketing & Media, and its direct and other marketing brands worldwide.
Courtenay will serve as a consultant to Haymarket for the balance of 2007. Release
